A: It means that it’s a mockery of death, that’s exactly how we know that death has been defeated. He (Jesus) put it there to let us know that he died our death.

1 Cor 15:55-57 Hebrews 2:14 In history, no one ever conquered death until Jesus conquered death. Death is defeated and that’s the reason for the season!

Two facts about this season

😁 Jesus died- Crucification was a reliable method of true death. The weapons the Roman soldiers used on Jesus was called the Roman scourge and the movie we all know “Passion of Christ” is a gross understatement of what really happened to Jesus. His heart had ruptured because after so much beating blood and water came out of his body. There’s no milder way to say that Jesus actually died!

😁 Jesus rose! Something must have happened for the disciples to admit that Jesus was alive. Jesus bragged to them that he will rise again on the third day that was why they put Roman soldiers to guard the tomb and if the Roman soldiers were guarding it how then was his body missing.

What are the implications of His death, burial, and resurrection?

Acts 17:31 This was the assurance of Paul. The resurrection of Jesus from the dead gave assurance that there’s life after death.

1 Cor 15, 1 Thess 4:14 Only the messiah has the right to talk about life after death. Now we know there’s life after death and we acquire it by FAITH. In every sphere of life we see death is an Avenue for multiplication! Once upon a time Jesus was called only begotten but now we see he is called the first begotten because by his death he has joined us with him 🥳🥳🥳

We move from an experiential thing Jesus did to the fact that He was demonstrating power on our behalf

That we’ve been immersed into Christ and so his death has become our death, his burial our burial, and his resurrection our resurrection. Not only did he rise, he is resurrection! This is the reason for the season that whosoever believes in him will not perish but have everlasting life🔥🔥 Glory to God 💃💃💃
