The Prayer No One Sees

The Prayer No One Sees

Preacher: Apostle Emmanuel Iren
Sermon: The Prayer No One Sees

If you were asked what the most indispensable principle of prayer is, what will you say it is? 🤔

The answer to this is “A broken and A contrite heart”.📌
(Psalm 51:17)

This means that more than the duration, the eloquence, and the fervency, the posture of your heart matters before God.

Ponder on the excerpts below as you go forth today:
🔸 Your reasons for praying are more important than how/where you pray.
(John 4:23, Isaiah 29:13)
Sometimes, we keep looking for activities and we get so distracted that we miss God.
🔸 You cannot vet the effectiveness of any devotion by natural observation.
🔸 Every time you pray, as your lips utter words, your heart is also saying something and the latter is what God is concerned about.
🔸Prayer is not a game of eloquence (1 Corinthians 13:3)
Men hear what you say, God hears what you don’t say. So, it is the motive that matters, not the actions.
🔸In your walk with God, it is not enough to be sacrificial. Your heart must also align. (2 Corinthians 9:7)
🔸Unlike Saul, don’t fall for the trap of disobedience thinking that things can be made right by attempting to do things the Word of God upholds. To obey is better than sacrifice.
(1 Samuel 15:22, Exodus 33:15)
🔸 Prayer shows your dependence on God so, wake up every day with a heart of gratitude and dependence on him and let that push you to pray.
