INTRODUCTION TO THE STUDY OF THE HOLY GHOST

Of all things to study, theology has the most value. When you study God, you are studying what is beyond studying, and when you’ve known Him, you have known something beyond knowledge. It’s a huge privilege.

God cannot be known by human senses, neither can you box him by thinking you know all there is to know about him. The basic knowledge of the Godhead will distort your knowledge of mathematics. John 1:1, Rom 11:33, Eph 3:14-19

4 THINGS TO KNOW ABOUT GOD

1. He is one
2. He is three
3. The three persons are each fully God
4. Each person is distinct from the others

THE DIETY OF THE SPIRIT

Spirits generally in the Bible are persons, the spirit of God is more than wind, a force, energy, or a dove.
Zach 4:6, Lk 4:14, Act 1:8, 10:38, Rom 15:13, Micah 3:8

He is the power of God, yet, he is never impersonal; He is a person & He has a mind. Rom 8:27, John 14:17

The term Circumincessio means MUTUAL INVOLVEMENT; the three persons in the trinity are interwoven, but they are still three persons. John 1:1

For example, the ministry of the Holy Spirit is similar to the role Jesus played in the lives of the disciples when he was on earth; he is ‘ANOTHER helper’. Jesus was limited by his earthly body, he could only be at one place at a time. But the spirit is much better because he lives inside of you, as well as in millions of other believers at the same time. The Holy Ghost is ‘Jesus’ in our hearts, therefore our world will not miss him. John 14:16

Because of what we carry, the possibilities in our reality are enormous. – limitations become our advantage and we do the impossible. Gen 1:2

This month, we are being launched into a new realm of intimacy, make sure to participate. It all starts with your mind, refuse to be mediocre, decide not to play church. It must count in our lives that we carry the presence of God.
