God wants all of us to come to unanimity of the faith and before we get there, we need to take Bible study seriously.

We need to immerse ourselves in the knowledge of the word because that’s the only way satan can ‘get behind’.

Galatians 3:11 Salvation does not come by any rite but only by faith.
Interpretation of the scriptures is important.

Why must the Bible be interpreted?
1. Because of the nature of the scriptures. The Bible is the word of God, given in human words, in history. Meaning, it has both a divine side and a natural side to it. The fact that it’s in the Bible doesn’t mean it is the word of God. The word of God has to be consistent with Christ. The word of God must be read in context.
– You must understand the language it was written in and the history of the people so that the true meaning will not be lost.
– You must understand the difference in Culture. 1Corinthians 11. Romans 16:16. 2 Timothy 2:15, 2.

You don’t subject the word to personal interpretation. Knowledge must multiply grace. Jesus must be glorified in theology.
The sacred truth of God’s word is to drive you to your knees, not to bring others down.
