Soli Deo Gloria – Global Day 2 – Morning – Why Pray Long

Soli Deo Gloria – Global Day 2 – Morning – Why Pray Long

As an excellent church we want to emphasize that our Identity would be that of a praying church.

Generally, mastery requires time, also spiritual mastery equally requires time.

From Ephesians 3:14, we see that the same way we can build physical muscles is the same way we can build spiritual muscles. Our spirits have “muscles” that can be expanded. There’s a spirit gym.

Why pray long?

1. When we pray we are strengthened. Prayer is not about informing God about our problems because he already knows. We pray to build strength. Strength is a huge subject in the realm of the spirit.

2. From James 5:16, we see that our prayer makes tremendous power available, both to do and undo in the will of God. The Bible tells us Elijah prayed earnestly and caused changes. Just like Elijah, we also can make changes in the place of prayer.
