It is the summation of everything we represent as believers

When it comes to life and death, don’t assume people know the gospel; it is so important because it saves the sinner and is taught to the believer.

The cross has 2 powerful messages:

1. The gravity of sin
2. The love of God

By the sacrifice on the cross, God lets us know He loves us as much as He loves Jesus. John 17:23b.
