Deeper Abuja – Temples

Deeper Abuja – Temples

Holiness describes God and everything he owns. It’s not about trying not to sin cause if that is it, what sin is God trying to run from.

What God referred to in 1 Peter 2:9 was to refer to consecration. Referring to how separate we are in God. 1 Corinthians 6:19 NKJV Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own?

Paul gives a bigger reason for us not to sin. It was our positional holiness. Emphasizing positional holiness is a motivation for holiness by conduct. What God had against the king of Babylon is the same reason God has against people who live anyhow. You need to have the consciousness that God lives in you. The things religious men pursue go after men of intimacy.

2 Corinthians 3:5-6 NKJV

Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think of anything as being from ourselves, but our sufficiency is from God, [6] who also made us sufficient as ministers of the new covenant, not of the letter but of the Spirit; for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life.

Paul is showing you how much more God wants you sacred if he valued a sacredness where he never dwelt. We need to be more conscious and have sacredness for ourselves more than the Jews. You can be special and don’t know. You can only do as much as you know. You are suppressing the move of God by your ignorance.
